Can Shopper Platform support merchants and stores?
According to recently published news articles, mobile app based delivery companies are eating into the sales of smaller general stores.
This is not new. In the last two decades modern retail with big sized stores have replaced the general stores from main markets. Most smaller stores that have been able to survive are in neighborhoods where big stores cannot open.
Now, quick commerce companies with their delivery fleets are taking away the sales of these smaller stores also. They have their own large warehouses called dark stores. They have mobile apps. They have social medial marketing capability. Smaller stores cannot compete with them in marketing as these companies have access to capital regardless of profitability.
Smaller stores cannot invest in technology and marketing on their own. Is there a solution or hope for them?
Shopper offers access to a larger area by showing your store's products to customers across the whole town. Shopper has parcel partners to support if stores cannot deliver on their own. Shopper offers capability to collect payments via cash as well as UPI thereby reducing transaction costs.
